Founded by former members of Zeboiim and Summernight Conflict in fall
2005 OF QUIET WALLS started to work with enthusiasm on their very own
idea of Hardcore, Metalcore, Chaos (call it what you want!!). The songs
created in the following year reveal the bands' eagerness and passion,
which all of the members put into them. They testify that OF QUIET
WALLS are not willing to follow standardized ways but create their own
structures. The first shows in early summer 2006 proved that this
concept was working.
The energy of the created songs had been amplified at a high rate with
the six guys' live-show. At their concerts OF QUIET WALLS could really
play out all their advantages. The two singers (Erik, Rick) are
perfectly complementing each other and cover a wide range of vocal
expression and always keep some space for the melody that always has a
place in OF QUIET WALLS' music. The two guitar players (Kay, Stefan)
are playing a creative, mathematical-chaotic, sometimes massive style
and always try to push their skills forward. The base everything relies
on are Marco (drums) and Jonas (bass). They build up the framework on
which OF QUIET WALLS are safely heading forward to go different ways.
So these six guys are creating a sound that is far away from the German
standards of Metalcore.
In summer 2006 the band decided to record the songs they had been written until there in a D.I.Y. homerecording process. To put the energetic atmosphere of the live shows onto disk has been a harder task than the guys thought in the beginning but in November 2006 OF QUIET WALLS could finish their first EP "DOPE DISCO & THE HETERO ELEPHANT". Now there was just one problem - how to get help in pressing, selling and promoting the EP?
So after a lot of looking around, asking the right people and sending the disc around OF QUIET WALLS are now proud to be under warm embrace of three labels at one time. The band now cooperates with Shark Men Records, Village Kids Records and Hellgate Records to bring their music to the masses. “DOPE DISCO & THE HETERO ELEPHANT” will hopefully be released in early summer 2007!!!
